Down Syndrome Kerry is a parent led voluntary organisation with a membership base of over 230 families.
Down Syndrome Ireland are a family community who work together to better the lives of our children.
Down Syndrome Ireland goals are to provide our members with vital therapies and services to supplement inadequate state provision. They help people with Down syndrome make their own futures as bright and independent as possible by providing them with education, support and friendship every step of the way.

For the Down Syndrome Ireland website, I teamed up with Aidan from Avalanche Designs to create a custom, professional platform that reflects the heart of their mission — supporting over 230 families across Kerry, Cork, and Limerick with vital services, advocacy, and community.
- Modern Design for a Purpose-Driven Organisation:The new Down Syndrome Kerry website features a warm, welcoming design that speaks to the strength and unity of their community. With clear navigation, vibrant imagery, and a calming colour palette, the site provides a space where families can find support, access resources, and stay informed about upcoming events and initiatives. The layout prioritises ease of use while honouring the values of inclusion, care, and empowerment.
- Mobile Responsive and Accessible Built with accessibility and mobile use in mind, the website delivers a seamless experience on any device — ensuring that busy families and volunteers can stay connected and informed whether at home or on the go. Important resources, therapy updates, and contact details are just a tap away.
- Flexible WordPress Content Management System Developed on WordPress, the site offers the Down Syndrome Kerry team complete control over their content — from updating news and fundraising events to managing resources and service information. This flexibility allows the organisation to respond quickly to member needs, share success stories, and spotlight community achievements.
- Community Gallery and Resource Hub The site includes a vibrant gallery showcasing community events, member stories, and initiatives — capturing the spirit of Down Syndrome Kerry in action. A dedicated resources section offers easy access to support services, therapy details, and parent-led information — ensuring families always know where to turn for guidance.
- 100% Custom Design Reflecting Care and Connection Every detail of the site was thoughtfully crafted to reflect the values of Down Syndrome Kerry — from the colour choices that evoke warmth and optimism to the layout that places families and community at the centre. The result is a trusted, heartfelt digital space that not only informs but brings people together.
